The design system has a component for everything except the actual problem

The interface is consistent. The user is consistently lost.

Every button uses the right token. The form still asks a person to choose between two labels nobody can explain.

A design system helps a team reuse decisions. It does not prove that a particular flow makes sense. Consistency can make a confusing experience look extraordinarily well organised.

Walk through the task with someone who has not been in the project meetings. Ask what they expect each step to do. Pay attention when the explanation you want to give them is missing from the interface itself.

Use the existing components where they fit. When they do not, describe the requirement rather than quietly building an exception nobody else understands. A well-explained gap can improve the shared system.

Keep the goal visible during reviews. Correct spacing is easier to discuss than whether the person can complete the task, which makes it a tempting place to spend the entire meeting.

The button has passed inspection. Now ask where it goes.
